What's good event photography about? Pleasing the client - that's the person paying the bill
- making their event look busy, vibrant and their clients look happy and beautiful whether
that's the truth of it or not. All said and done, that's about good exposure, being good with people and being in the right place at the right time, like the shot above. For me, there's an added dimension that I look for and aspire towards with events photography, I want to put the viewer into the scene, the sound, taste and smell of it. That's where the skill comes in, where you stop documenting a scene and start painting it.
