Big sensor blues

I've been shooting with a 24.3mb FX sensor for a few months now. The image quality and detail are a dream and the in-camera read/write is fast but boy, does that cost me on the processing side. A sensor this size kicks out a raw file of approximately 32mb. That's a lot of file per image. Assuming I shoot 500 images per assignment, that's 16gb to process at the end of the day. It's time to price up my next PC. Not that I'm complaining. I knew this would be a consequence, I guess I've just been in denial.
